“Critters of the Ohio” Exhibition

I’ve heard from quite a few people now that this year’s Portland Art and Heritage Fair was the best one yet. Now, I’m not saying that it was because of Printed’s involvement, but, I’m not NOT saying it either, ya know?
In all seriousness though, it was amazing seeing so many amazing arts organizations come together to make that event happen. Squallis Puppeteers, Studio Spore, Shippingport Brewing, Crypt Print, West End Weird Corps., and more; it was an all-star lineup. We’re also eternally grateful to Portland Museum for collaborating with us. They not only sponsored the prize money for Critters of the Ohio, which I’m about to detail, but they also allowed us to dig around in their archive and print the Devils shirt utilizing something from it. Thanks as well to everybody who stopped by the fair and picked up one of those shirts from us, or just chatted with us at our table. We hope to see your torsos adorned and/or your submissions in our inbox soon.
Speaking of submissions though, we were honored to receive 35 submissions for Critters of the Ohio. While I wish we could award every single entrant, detailed in this article will be our three winners and the top half of honorable mentions as juried by our Edition Two Selection Committee. Every single piece of art entered into the competition was a treasure, and even if yours isn’t featured here, make sure to keep on creating (and submit to Edition Two).
