The White Squirrel Vol. XVII

The White Squirrel Staff

2020

There are a lot of squirrels on the University of Louisville’s campus, but there are a select few who’s sightings are treated by its students like brushes with myth: the albinos. Named after these beautiful creatures, The White Squirrel is the UofL Honors Program’s literary and arts magazine, which showcases the poetry, prose, art, and overall talent and creativity of its University’s students. Since 2009 The White Squirrel has reached out to UofL’s campus creatives and offered them an opportunity to see their work published regardless of training, experience, or network, and hold it printed in a physical format. While never operating under any prescribed theme, each volume’s rotating cast of enrolling and graduating contributors through visual and written arts provide an intimate snapshot into what being a college student during that time is like. The magazine operates thanks to a keen staff of the students who volunteer their time to work on selecting, editing, and formatting submissions.
