What kind of work is Printed looking for?

Printed’s goal is to spotlight and connect creative people. There are no requirements or restrictions on what applies and should be submitted to Printed.

We want to provide a printed space for artists and creatives to share the work that they feel compelled to share, whatever that may be!

Submission Specs:

  • Submitted Content - Submitted photos and digital media do not need to be the highest final quality or professionally photographed.

  • Selected Content - If your work is chosen, we will need:

    • 2D work:

      • High-resolution 300dpi or greater images.

      • CMYK or RGB color modes are acceptable

      • TIFF, PNG, and JPG are all acceptable file types

        • We will not accept NEF files

Can I submit nsfw
or erotic content?

Printed is currently 18+ and is not placing any restrictions on the type of content that can be submitted.

Will my work be on a vertical page, or
full-page spread?

Printed is first and foremost a zine, meaning that much of the work will be integrated in a variety of non-traditional ways. We anticipate that work may share pages, own a page in itself, or overlap onto a page spread.

Please note that Printed intends to employ creative decision-making around the integration of creators' work within the zine. While we ensure all selected creators will be represented within the zine, and that no content will be modified in itself, the overall design of the zine and creative placement within it will be subject to creative decision making by the Printed organizers and selection committee.

Can I submit work I am currently in the process of creating?

Please do! In-process work will be reviewed based on ideation and portfolio. If you have work that is uncreated or in the process of creation, we ask that you provide any process photos you can and that you include a description of the anticipated finished work here.

Should your work be chosen, you will need to have completed work to us that follows the intention of your in-process submission, by December 1st, 2022.
