Missed Connections 502 vol. I

2021

“If you’re going to live in a cesspool, you might as well swim.”

So ends the opening page of this zine, and its dedication to community and the alternative will undoubtedly make it a favorite to anyone interested in Printed. Featured are online listings, yard decorations, local music recommendations, graffiti, and more. Beside these though are brashly personal stories ranging from hilarious to heartbreaking. Tips on how to best piss in public are only a few pages away from a reflection on a lost relationship with a parent. The zine’s anonymous author describes this interesting combination of topics as “weird hyper-personal miniatures,” and we couldn’t be more enthralled with them.

Know what else is exciting about this zine? You can contribute to its future volumes! Here is the pitch from the zine itself:

”SEEKING feedback, rants and raves, input, submissions, missed connections photos comics, personal adds, your music to review, local artists you’d like us to review, public art, personal art, louisville misc. As much credit as you desire or none (remain anonymous) Can host, let’s not waste time, would like to talk, if you’re just feeling lonely, please contact us.”

We hope this page constitutes as rants and raves.
